2014 Joe Weider's IFBB Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend At Orleans Arena Set For 9/18-20

Joe Weider Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend celebrate its 50th year as the most prestigious event in the world of bodybuilding and fitness September 18 to 20 at the Orleans Arena.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Mr. Olympia competition - annual bodybuilding competition sanctioned by the International Federation of Bodybuilders Professional League (IFBB Pro League) - will take center stage at the Orleans Arena. With past champions like iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lee Haney, Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler Las Vegas itself, this is the pinnacle of the sport of bodybuilding. Whopping $ 1.1 million in total prize is the highest of all time unique bags in the history of the competition.


For the first time since 1984, Olympia competitions will be broadcast by NBC Sports Group. On October 18 at 10:30 am PDT and reiterated on October 25 at 2:30 pm PDT, NBCSN will air two 90 minute specials Olympia Weekend.

More than 100 athletes are expected to compete with the greatest bodybuilders in the world headlining the weekend full of stars. Three-time defending champion Phil "The Gift" Heath will go for their fourth consecutive victory, but standing in their way are a number of formidable challenges, led by Kai "The Predator" Greene, who placed runner-up the past two years. Greene is hungrier than ever to dethrone the champion, but also knocking on the door is third finalist last year, Dennis "The Big Bad" Wolf. Shawn "Flexatron" Rhoden, Dexter "The Blade" Jackson, Roelly "The Beast" Winklaar, Mamdouh "Big Ramy" Elssbiay and complete alignment notch.

On Thursday, September 18 fans will have the opportunity to meet great stars of the sport in the Olympic Meet, located at the Orleans Arena Concourse Level. VIP ticket holders and Platinum Members authorize early entry at 7:00 pm Open to the general public free of charge at 8:00 pm
